The colorful dramaturgy of the work is dominated by the Bloody Sonnets of Pavel Országh Hviezdoslav in the English translation of John Minahane, and together with poems set to music by Rudolf Dilong, Janek Kráľ, Milan Rúfus, Ján Kostra and Ján Smrek, they represent a song cycle created on the border between the genres of jazz and classical music.
