Our musical "collapsement" principle proposes a simple approach: each composer created his live improvisation separately, without listening to the music of the other. After that, we put both recordings to play together, but only in the very moment of the first public listening on a live streaming on youtube. Why?
One of the metaphoric sources of inspiration comes from the "quantum collapsing", where you just realize the position and momentum of a particle after its observation. It is a serendipity experiment, where the collision between both recordings may result in interesting co-incidences and strange unpredictable dialogues. The other source is Jacques Derrida´s idea of inner duplicity of the text (of dominant one and discriminated one). This kind of duplicity is projected in two layers of electronic music (pre-prepared independently, as was mentioned above, in Brazil and Slovakia), in two voices of our lovely daughters Myrrha and Johanka, and both of us as their fathers, all of us reading Derrida´s sentence paraphrased in several languages (English, Slovak, Portuguese, Czech). The symbiosis of our electronic, holofractal music and all voices sounds very interesting – everything works fine to randomly punctuate the drones and constellations of this unpredictable “co-(i)mprovisation”
As the title speaks, by this musical "collapsement" piece we join the protests against all wars, anywhere in the world.
The EP is published in cooperation with Brazilian label Dionysian Industrial Complex.
